Privacy Policy

The Fort Erie Food Drive is organized by Fort Erie Home Group to bring our neighbourhood together and support local families through C.O.P.E. We respect your privacy and want you to understand how your information is used.

What Information We Collect

When you register your home, we collect your name, street address, phone number, and email address if you choose to provide one. We also record whether your home is located in Crescent Park and whether you choose to receive neighbourhood updates.

How We Use Your Information

We use registration information to organize the food drive, coordinate volunteer pickup routes, communicate important event details, and send relevant reminders.

If you separately choose to receive our Crescent Park Neighbourhood Report and occasional community updates, we may also use your email address for those communications. Participation in the food drive does not require subscribing to marketing emails.

Who Can Access Your Information

Registration information is accessible to authorized organizers and, where necessary, designated volunteers helping coordinate collections.

We use secure website hosting and customer relationship management services to manage registrations and communications. We do not publicly display registration details or sell personal information.

Website Analytics & Tracking

This website uses basic analytics and an external form-tracking service to understand how visitors use the site and to attribute registrations to this community initiative. When you submit the registration form, your name, contact details, and the information you entered on the form are sent securely to our customer relationship management system so our team can coordinate pickups and communicate with you. We do not use this information to show you targeted advertising, and we do not sell it.

Protecting Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you provide and limit access to those who need it for the purposes described. We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and applicable legal requirements.

Your Choices

Registering your home for the food drive is separate from consenting to receive the Crescent Park Neighbourhood Report and occasional community updates. You do not need to subscribe to any emails to participate in the food drive, and leaving the optional checkbox unchecked does not affect your registration.

If you do subscribe to community updates, you can withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us below. We honour unsubscribe requests and Do Not Disturb preferences, and we will not add you to the Neighbourhood Report mailing list without your explicit consent.

You can also contact us to request access to your information, correct your details, or ask about removing information we no longer need.

Light Up Fort Erie Interest

Our thank-you page also invites you to express interest in Light Up Fort Erie, our upcoming holiday lights initiative. If you submit that interest form, we use your name, email, and any phone number or home address you choose to provide to communicate with you about that initiative based on the options you selected.

Providing your home address is optional and is helpful only if you are interested in having your home considered for the lights list. Expressing interest does not confirm participation or authorize the public publication of your home address — we will obtain your separate approval before publicly listing any home.

Light Up Fort Erie interest is separate from the Crescent Park Neighbourhood Report and from food drive registration. We will not use your phone number to send promotional text messages without your explicit consent. You can request corrections or withdraw your event communication consent at any time using the contact details below.
